Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Midan (“Platform”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Midan platform, mobile application, or any of our services — including session booking, squads, find-players, post-game stats, and venue management — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before use.
1Definitions
- Platform
- The Midan application, website, and all associated services.
- User / Player
- Any individual who registers on and uses the Platform to book venues or join sessions.
- Venue Owner
- Any entity or individual who lists a sports facility on the Platform.
- Session
- A time-bound sports booking created through the Platform.
- Squad
- A group of players created on the Platform with a designated captain and defined members.
- LFP Post (Looking for Players)
- A public listing created by a squad to recruit additional players for a specific game.
- Match Event
- An in-game record logged by an organizer, such as a goal, assist, save, or card issued to a player.
- MVP Vote
- A participant’s vote for the best player in a completed session.
- Availability Schedule
- The weekly hours and blackout dates set by a Venue Owner for their facility.
- Subscription Plan
- A tiered billing plan (Free, Growth, or Pro) that governs a Venue Owner’s access to Platform features.
2Acceptance & Eligibility
- ·You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. Users aged 16–17 require parental or guardian consent.
- ·By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and complete.
- ·Each person may maintain only one account.
- ·We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3Account & Authentication
- ·The Platform supports two methods of identity verification: one-time passcode (OTP) delivered by SMS, and password-based login as an optional alternative.
- ·You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Midan will never ask you for your password.
- ·You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access to your account or password.
- ·Passwords are stored in hashed form. The Platform does not retain plaintext passwords.
4Bookings & Payments
- ·Completed bookings are binding. By confirming a booking, you commit to the Platform and Venue Owner to attend at the specified time.
- ·Payments are processed through the Platform’s approved secure payment gateways.
- ·Prices are displayed inclusive of applicable VAT in accordance with Sultanate of Oman regulations. All monetary values are expressed in Omani Rial (OMR) to three decimal places.
- ·For free-type sessions: the Platform bears no liability for any financial arrangements made directly between players.
- ·Venue Owners are responsible for setting their own pricing and ensuring their commercial practices comply with applicable Omani regulations.
5Cancellation & Refund Policy
- ·Bookings may be cancelled with a full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the session start time.
- ·Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
- ·No refund is issued for no-shows without prior cancellation.
- ·If a Venue Owner cancels a session, the User is entitled to a full refund or free rescheduling.
- ·Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on the payment method used.
- ·Venue availability schedules and blackout dates set by the Venue Owner apply. If a facility is marked closed on a booked day, this is treated as a Venue Owner cancellation and the User is entitled to a full refund.
6Subscription Plans for Venue Owners
- ·The Platform offers paid subscription plans for Venue Owners (Free, Growth, Pro). Features vary by plan.
- ·Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel renewal before the end of your current billing cycle.
- ·Upon downgrading to a lower tier, the Platform may disable features associated with the previous plan at the end of the billing period.
- ·Subscription fees are non-refundable after payment except in documented cases per Platform policy.
- ·Pricing details and plan features are displayed on the Plans page within the venue dashboard.
7Squads & Community Features
- ·You may create a squad or join one. The squad captain is responsible for managing membership and representing the squad appropriately.
- ·Squad captains may publish Looking for Players (LFP) posts on the Platform. Posts expire automatically after 7 days.
- ·Players may submit join requests via an LFP post. Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance or participation in any match.
- ·The Platform is not a party to disputes between squads or to accept/decline decisions made by a squad captain.
- ·Content published in LFP posts (messages, dates, venue names) is the sole responsibility of the captain.
8User-Generated Content
- ·Any content you publish — including LFP messages, match events, player names, and MVP votes — is your sole responsibility.
- ·By publishing content, you grant Midan a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, store, and process that content within the Platform.
- ·Publishing false, misleading, or abusive content is prohibited. The Platform reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without notice.
- ·Match statistics logged by a session organizer should be accurate and in good faith. Players may dispute inaccurate records by contacting the Platform.
9Post-Game Data & Statistics
- ·Upon session completion, the session organizer may log match events (goal, assist, save, yellow/red card) for each player.
- ·Each participant in a completed session may cast one MVP vote. Voting for yourself is not permitted.
- ·MVP votes may be changed until the session is formally closed.
- ·Match statistics are aggregated and displayed on each player’s profile page.
- ·Midan does not guarantee the accuracy of logged data and bears no liability for errors in recorded statistics.
10User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
By using the Platform, you agree not to:
- ✕Post offensive, false, or misleading content.
- ✕Impersonate any user, staff member, or venue owner.
- ✕Attempt unauthorized access to Platform systems.
- ✕Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Omani regulations.
- ✕Engage in fraud or manipulation of the booking, voting, or match statistics system.
- ✕Publish false or misleading LFP posts.
- ✕Disclose other users’ personal data without their consent.
11Intellectual Property
- ·All Platform content including trademarks, logos, designs, and software is the exclusive property of Midan or its licensors.
- ·Users are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
- ·Copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative works from any Platform content without prior written consent from Midan is prohibited.
12Disclaimer of Warranties
- ·The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without any express or implied warranties.
- ·Midan does not warrant uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.
- ·Midan is not responsible for any injury or property damage occurring during sports sessions. Users participate at their own risk.
- ·Match statistics and MVP results are informational only and carry no contractual or arbitral value.
13Limitation of Liability
- ·Midan's total liability to any User shall in no event exceed the amount paid to the Platform in the three months preceding the claim.
- ·Midan is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
14Privacy & Data Protection
- ·The collection and use of your data is governed by our dedicated Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
- ·Our Privacy Policy provides detailed information on data collection, processing, and your rights under the Oman Personal Data Protection Law.
- ·You can view the full Privacy Policy at the link below or via the Platform footer.
- ·Your personal data will not be sold to third parties.
- ·Passwords are stored in hashed form and are never visible in plaintext.
- ·You may request deletion of your data via app settings or by contacting us.
15Termination
- ·You may terminate your account at any time through app settings or by contacting us.
- ·We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately for breach of these Terms, with or without notice.
- ·Upon termination, your licence to use the Platform expires immediately.
16Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- ·These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
- ·Both parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation within 30 days of the dispute arising.
- ·If amicable resolution fails, the dispute shall be referred to the competent courts of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
17Amendments to Terms
- ·We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. You will be notified of any material changes via in-app notification.
- ·Your continued use of the Platform 14 days after the amendment notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
